House # 74 -- Jennifer Morris and Family -- 2969 Fourth Avenue, Huntington, WV
The affiliate’s 74th house is currently under construction at 2969 Fourth Avenue in Huntington, WV.Once completed, the house will become the new home to Jennifer Morris and her daughter.
Volunteers from several different organizations, including groups from Fifth Avenue Baptist Church (Huntington, WV), Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church (Mechanicsburg, PA), and St. Andrew’s Christian Church (Columbus, OH) have helped in the construction of the home.
This house is still in need of volunteers to help bring the project to completion.
House # 75 -- Cabell County Churches Build
As we continue our 20th year of service, 2010 will also mark the year which the affiliate built its 75th house.
For the last 20 years, churches and faith based organizations in this community have been one of the primary partners that have afforded the affiliate the opportunity to build safe, decent and affordable housing to qualified low income families.
With that said, it seemed only fitting that these organizations partner with us again to help construct this monumental house.
The fundraising goal for this project is $50,000.00. When these funds are raised, we will be able to not only build a house here in Cabell County, but another one internationally, truly making this build "a house for a house!"
