Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity

As the cost of living rises, so do the affiliate's costs in providing qualified low-income families  the opportunity to own a safe, decent and affordable place to live.  As a result, the affiliate continues to strengthen its development programs, but the need for funds still exists.

How Can I Make a Gift?

Donor Privacy Policy
Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity will never offer for sale or trade the names of our donors to any other organization under any circumstance.

In addition, if a donor requests that his/her gift remains anonymous or not listed in any of our fundraising reports, Huntington Area Habitat will gladly honor this request.

Planned Giving
Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity welcomes those donors who wish to take part in planned giving. Planned gifts can be in the form of bequests, gifts of life insurance, gifts of real estate, and gifts of annuities and securities.

There are many benefits in planned giving.  In some cases you can increase income, avoid some taxes, and provide asset management for your heirs.  For more information please contact Teddy Kluemper III at 304.523.4822.

Memorials/Honorariums
Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity would be happy to accept a gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one.  Upon receipt of the gift, we will send an acknowledgment to the appropriate recipient.  

Deconstruction/Construction Materials
If you have good to above average materials, either from an existing structure or other various materials and tools, you are now able to donate those to Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity.  Some of your items will be used for inventory in our ReStore.
    
We accept items such as treated lumber, various kinds of windows, storm doors, some lighting, cabinets, flooring, and appliances that are in good working order and free of repairs.  

Corporate Giving
Did you know that many times companies will double or even triple a contribution that an employee makes to an organization like Habitat?  This program is usually called corporate matching gifts.
