Homeowners who participate in our housing ministry program complete education classes on homeownership, learn about construction and basic home maintenance, work “sweat equity” hours and achieve a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work. Once the house is completed, the homeowner pays a 25 year interest free monthly mortgage. The payments help Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity build more houses for families in need in Cabell County, WV and Lawrence County, OH (with the exception of Coal Grove, Ironton and Hanging Rock).
