Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity (HAHFH) homes are built in neighborhoods throughout Cabell County, WV and Lawrence County, OH (with the exception of Coal Grove, Ironton, and Hanging Rock), alongside other professionally built and sold homes.
The size of a Habitat house is determined by the number of family members as well as the lot size. HAHFH provides a standard floor plan for each size house which can be adapted to meet special needs of the lot or particular considerations of the family. An average floor plan for a three-bedroom Habitat home is 1,152 square feet. Future homeowners select interior features such as floor coverings, cabinets and countertops and exterior features such as siding, shingles, and shutters (front facing window only)colors. All homes are professionally supervised and built to ensure high quality and consistency. In a further effort to ensure affordable housing, we have focused on building energy efficient homes. All of our homes meet Energy-Star standards.
